Chief Engineer for General Cargo Ship – Gibraltar – Salary: £8700 per month
Description of the position and key functions: We are looking for a Chief Engineer for a general cargo ship (containerized cargo) under the flag of Gibraltar. The main responsibilities include supervising and maintaining the MAK 6M32C propulsion system and managing the technical team on board, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all mechanical and electrical systems on the ship.
Requirements and qualifications: Minimum 24 months of experience as Chief Engineer on general cargo, container, or multipurpose (MPP) ships. Valid STCW certificates. Excellent English language skills. Solid knowledge of electrical systems.
