Description of the position and key functions: A position is available for a Second Officer on board the general cargo vessel “Jutland”. Main responsibilities include assisting in navigation and the daily management of the vessel, supervising loading and unloading operations, as well as onboard safety management. The vessel has a deadweight of 7750 DWT, is equipped with a main MAK engine of 3840 kW, and was built in 2004.
Requirements and qualifications: The ideal candidate should hold a relevant merchant marine qualification, with previous experience in a similar position preferably on general cargo vessels. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of main MAK engines will be valued.
