We are seeking a qualified Second Engineer for a temporary position aboard a cable-laying vessel operating in the United States. This is a 2-week contract position with ORCA Crew Services, starting on 01 April 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and maintenance of vessel propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery
  • Management of the engine department under the direction of the Chief Engineer
  • Compliance with onboard safety and emergency procedures

  • Updated Curriculum Vitae
  • Professional and training certificates (STCW, etc.)
  • Letters of recommendation or seaman’s book
