Second Engineer (Unlimited) – Multipurpose Support Vessel DP2 – Angola

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Second Engineer (Unlimited) for a DP2 Multipurpose Support Vessel operating in Angolan waters. This is a permanent contract position with Transport and Offshore Services.

Contract Details

  • Rotation: First trip: 4 weeks on board / 3 weeks ashore, then 6 weeks on board / 6 weeks ashore (fixed)
  • Vessel Type: DP2 Multipurpose Support Vessel (Dynamic Positioning 2)
  • Location: Angola (operating in Angolan waters)
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Requirements

  • Valid Second Engineer Unlimited Certificate (equivalent to COC III/2 under STCW)
  • Previous experience on Multipurpose Vessels (MPV) and DP2 vessels

Responsibilities

  • Join the engine team consisting of: Chief Engineer, Second Engineer, Third Engineer, Engine Room Deckhand (AB Engine), and Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
  • According to STCW, typical Second Engineer duties include: supervision of machinery maintenance, control room management, supporting the Chief Engineer in safe operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and engine watchkeeping responsibilities
