Description and Key Responsibilities:
The role of Chief Engineer on a container ship involves overseeing and managing all operations of the engine department. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the main engine, a WARSILA 12 RT Flex 96 C model, as well as other critical systems on board.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior experience in the position of Chief Engineer on vessels of similar characteristics. Deep knowledge in the operation and maintenance of WARSILA engines. Leadership skills to lead the onboard engineering team.
Additional Details:
Contract for 4 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 1 month. The ship has a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 102,518 tons and a capacity of 8,586 TEU.
