Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Officer for an AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessel operating under a Saudi Aramco contract. This is a worldwide position with a rotational contract pattern.

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Rotational contract: 4 months onboard / 2 months leave
• Vessel Type: AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) – NON-DP (without dynamic positioning system)

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months experience as Chief Officer on NON-DP AHTS vessels
• Specific experience in the same rank (Chief Officer) on NON-DP AHTS vessels
• Required training: According to STCW, Deck Officer training with corresponding certification (e.g., First Class Deck Officer certificate) is required

Responsibilities

• According to STCW, typical Chief Officer functions include: supervision of deck operations, responsibility for navigation watches, management of loading and unloading operations, maintenance of safety equipment, and support to the Captain in all vessel operations
• On AHTS vessels, this may include offshore towing and supply operations

Required Documentation

• According to standard industry practice, required documents include: updated STCW certificates, seafarer’s passport, seaman’s book, medical certificates (such as navigation medical certificate), and specific documentation for working under Saudi Aramco contract (e.g., visas if applicable)
