Bosun – Offshore Vessel – Worldwide

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bosun to join the crew of an offshore vessel operating worldwide. This is a permanent contract position with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading deck operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining the vessel’s deck equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bosun or in a similar deck leadership role on offshore vessels.
  • Valid STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to varying itineraries.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven track record in safety management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise deck crew and coordinate daily deck operations.
  • Ensure all deck machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
  • Oversee cargo handling and stowage activities.
  • Conduct safety drills and enforce safety protocols on deck.
  • Assist the Deck Officer with navigation and watchkeeping duties as required.
