Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bosun to join the crew of the MV Ocean Voyager, a cargo vessel operating on a worldwide itinerary. This is a permanent contract position with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading deck operations and ensuring the safety and maintenance of the vessel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bosun or in a similar deck leadership role.
- Valid STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage deck crew effectively.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to varying port schedules.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all deck operations, including cargo handling, mooring, and anchoring.
- Maintain and inspect deck equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise and train deckhands and other junior crew members.
- Assist the Deck Officer with navigational duties as required.
- Ensure cleanliness and order on deck areas.

Salary: €3,500 per month
Work Location: Worldwide itinerary, with ports in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
