Bosun – MV Ocean Voyager – Worldwide Itinerary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bosun to join the crew of the MV Ocean Voyager, a cargo vessel operating on a worldwide itinerary. This is a permanent contract position with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading deck operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining the vessel’s deck equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bosun or in a similar deck leadership role on cargo vessels.
• Valid STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to varying sea conditions.
• Strong leadership skills and a proven track record in deck maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise deck crew in daily operations, including cargo handling, mooring, and anchoring.
• Ensure all deck equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Conduct safety drills and inspections in accordance with maritime regulations.
• Assist the Deck Officer with navigation and watchkeeping duties as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for deck activities.

Salary: €3,500 per month
Work Location: MV Ocean Voyager, with a worldwide itinerary including ports in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
