Job Description and Key Functions: The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for leading all environmental management activities in offshore marine construction projects. Key functions include planning, executing, and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), environmental monitoring, and compliance with environmental regulations. They will work closely with the project team, regulatory bodies, and Saudi Aramco to ensure adherence to environmental policies and procedures, with a strong focus on sustainable practices and minimizing the environmental footprint of offshore operations.
Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in environmental management in the oil and gas construction sector, with at least 5 years in offshore marine projects. Demonstrated experience in environmental management within EPCI projects. Extensive experience in conducting EIA studies for offshore projects, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Knowledge in designing and managing offshore environmental monitoring programs. Deep understanding of international and local environmental regulations and standards, including MARPOL and OSPAR. Strong communication skills for report preparation and interaction with stakeholders and regulators. Demonstrated leadership ability in managing environmental teams. Previous experience in the Middle East and familiarity with Saudi Aramco’s environmental requirements are highly preferred.
