Alpha Navigation is looking for a Second Engineer for a container ship. This key position includes managing the proper operation and maintenance of the main MAN-B&W 12K90 engine, with a power of 54,902 kW, and other essential systems of the vessel. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the engineering team on board, ensuring that operations are carried out efficiently and safely.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Previous experience in the Second Engineer position on commercial vessels, preferably on container ships.
- Official certification as a Marine Engineer.
- Advanced knowledge in MAN-B&W engines and other mechanical and electrical systems of the vessel.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and in high-pressure situations.
