Position Overview
We are seeking experienced maritime professionals for the positions of Captain (Master) and Chief Engineer to work on self-propelled jack-up barges as part of the prestigious Saudi Aramco offshore project. This is a rotational contract position managed through a crewing agency.
Offer Details
- Salary/Wage: To be agreed (will be discussed during the process)
- Location: Saudi Aramco Project (global location, based on offshore operations)
- Contract: Rotational contract: 75-90 days on board / 60 days on shore (unpaid)
- Vessel Type: Self-propelled Jack-Up Barges (for offshore operations)
- Hiring Company: Brothers Shipping (crewing agency based in Bangladesh)
- Required Training: Specific training for Captain (Master) or Chief Engineer, with valid STCW certifications and offshore operations experience.
- Benefits: Joining after provisional Aramco approval, opportunity on a high-profile project (Saudi Aramco). Note: The rotation includes unpaid shore periods; according to MLC 2006, it is recommended to verify repatriation and rest conditions.
Requirements
- Valid documentation for at least 12 months
- Complete COVID-19 vaccination + booster dose
- Must NOT hold a valid visa for Saudi Arabia (KSA) or United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Preference given to candidates with Aramco/ADNOC approval
- IK Marlins certification (additional advantage)
Responsibilities
- Captain: Command and overall responsibility of the barge, navigation, safety, and compliance with Saudi Aramco project regulations.
- Chief Engineer: Supervision of the engine department, maintenance of propulsion systems and auxiliary equipment, and technical management according to offshore standards.
