Position Overview
We are seeking a Captain and First Officer for a non-DP crew boat operating in the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia (KSA), working for ARAMCO. This is a permanent contract position with a rotation of 4 months on board / TBC ashore. The vessel is a crew boat under 500 GT.
Offer Details
- Salary: Captain: $230/day, First Officer: $195/day
- Location: Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia (KSA), operating for ARAMCO
- Contract: Permanent contract with rotation 4 months on board / TBC ashore
- Vessel Type: Non-DP crew boat, less than 500 GT
- Hiring Company: Ocean Handlers
- Required Training: Master (Captain) unlimited or for vessels under 500 GT, as per position
- Benefits: Permanent rotation 4 months on board / TBC ashore (according to MLC 2006 convention, a rest period proportional to time on board is recommended)
Requirements
- Master (Captain) unlimited or Master for vessels under 500 GT
- Minimum 24 months of experience in the requested rank on crew boats
- English level: Marlins test 85% or higher
- Previous ARAMCO approvals will be an advantage
Responsibilities
- According to STCW, typical Captain functions include: overall command of the vessel, navigation safety, crew management, compliance with international and company regulations
- According to STCW, typical First Officer functions include: supervision of deck operations, maintenance of navigation equipment, management of passenger/crew loading/unloading, and safety responsibilities
