Description of the position and key functions: We are looking for a Chief Engineer for a general cargo ship (container cargo) under the flag of Gibraltar. The responsibilities of the role include managing and supervising the onboard engineering team, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all mechanical and electrical systems on the ship. The ideal candidate must possess advanced technical skills, especially in electrical and mechanical engineering, and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the main and auxiliary engines, specifically the MAK 6M32C model.
Requirements and qualifications: Minimum experience of 24 months in the same rank on general cargo, container, or multipurpose ships. Valid STCW certificates. Excellent English language skills. Competence in electricity.
