Description of the role and key functions: We are looking to fill the position of Chief Engineer on board a Bulk Carrier recently built in 2023. The selected professional will be responsible for supervising and maintaining the propulsion systems and machinery of the ship, ensuring its efficient and safe operation. Responsibilities include planning preventive and corrective maintenance activities, as well as managing the technical team under their supervision.
Requirements and qualifications: Accredited previous experience as a Chief Engineer on bulk cargo vessels. Advanced knowledge of MAN B&W ME type main engines. Ability to work in a team and manage technical personnel.
Additional details: A salary of £9900 is offered. The vessel has a deadweight of 63,000 tonnes and is equipped with MAN B&W ME engines. Candidates must have experience with this type of engines.
