A Chief Engineer is required for a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) built in South Korea in 2018 and managed by a Singaporean company. The main responsibilities of the position include overseeing and maintaining the main engine WARTSILA RT FLEX, as well as the daily management of machinery and supervision of the technical team on board.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Chief Engineer on VLCC type vessels or similar tankers.
  • Knowledge and experience in handling WARTSILA RT FLEX engines.
  • Ability to work with mixed crews and coordinate with international teams.
  • Proper training and certification in accordance with international maritime regulations.

Additional Details: The ship is located under Norwegian ownership. Excellent rotation plan within a fleet of approximately 29 VLCCs and 4 new constructions planned for 2025/2026.
