Description of the position and key responsibilities: Orca Crew Services is in need of a Steward to join a research vessel in Europe. The selected individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing the hospitality areas on board, ensuring the well-being of the crew and any passengers, if applicable. Duties include organizing dining services, cleaning common areas and cabins, as well as managing provisions inventories.
Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience in similar roles within the maritime sector or on research vessels will be valued for this position. Training in hospitality and services will be appreciated, along with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team. Proficiency in English is preferable.
