WishToSail.com is pleased to share an exciting job opportunity for the position of Technical Electrician Officer (ETO) on a CN cargo ship. Joining is scheduled for mid-August 2025. The ship, built in 2007, has a Deadweight Tonnage (DWT) of 18,278 and is equipped with a main MAN 8L58/64 engine.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities: The Technical Electrician Officer will be responsible for supervising and maintaining the ship’s electrical and electronic systems, ensuring their optimal and safe operation. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, scheduling preventive maintenance, and collaborating with the onboard team to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements and Qualifications: Previous experience in the same rank as an ETO. Experience working in mixed crews and a good level of English. Stable maritime service and positive references from previous employers.
Additional Details: The contract is for a duration of 4 months, with the possibility of extending for 1 month. Salary will be determined based on time in the rank.
