Description of the position and key responsibilities: We are looking for a Second Officer for a Panamax Bulk Carrier vessel. The main duties include supervising navigation, managing cargo operations, ensuring the safety and efficiency of daily onboard operations. The Second Officer is expected to work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure compliance with merchant navy standards.

Requirements and qualifications: Candidates must hold at least a Navigation Watch Officer certification and have previous experience on bulk carrier vessels. Previous experience on Panamax vessels and knowledge of the main MAN B&W MC engine will be valued. An adequate academic background in nautical sciences or a related field will be beneficial.

Additional details: The proposed contract is for a duration of 4 months, and the crew is mixed. The position is on a vessel built in 2012 by Imabari, Japan, owned by a German company with a fleet of approximately 30 bulk carriers and 5 new additions planned for 2025/2026. The salary ranges between 7200 and 7350 euros per month.
