Position Overview

Marine MAN Ltd is seeking a Second Officer for a general cargo ship with a 6-month contract.

• Salary: 4,100 – 4,200 USD

• Required Documentation: Dutch Certificate of Competency (CoC) for tanker fleet
• Required Training: According to the international STCW convention, basic safety training, first aid, fire fighting, and survival at sea are required. Additionally, the candidate must hold the qualification of Deck Officer.

Requirements

The candidate must possess nationality from Ukraine, Georgia, or Germany and have prior experience on general cargo vessels. Proficiency in English and appropriate certification as per STCW is required.

Responsibilities

Typically, under the international STCW convention, the responsibilities of the Second Officer on this type of vessel include navigation planning, overseeing loading and unloading operations, managing onboard safety, and assisting in emergency operations. Additionally, collaboration with the Chief Engineer and Captain in the daily management of the vessel is required.
