Second Engineer (Temporary) for Motor Yacht 100m+ in the Middle East – Atlantic Marine
Atlantic Marine is looking for a highly experienced Temporary Second Engineer for a private motor yacht over 100 meters, with operations based in the Middle East. This position offers an exciting opportunity for engineers with cruise experience, responsible for overseeing various critical systems on board the yacht.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, preferably with a cruise background.
- Maintenance of boiler plants and their auxiliaries.
- Management of operation and maintenance of deck hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in operation and maintenance of Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs), especially Caterpillar models.
- Ensure operation and maintenance of all mooring equipment.
- Assign and schedule daily tasks for subordinate and trainee engineers, monitoring regular and overtime working hours.
- Ensure all machinery, fire-fighting equipment, and safety equipment in the engine room operate correctly and comply with international safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist the Chief Engineer with maintenance and repair of the mentioned systems and equipment.
- Experience with ABB Azipod propulsion systems and Caterpillar 3516 engines is advantageous.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems like AMOS/IDEA is mandatory.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Unlimited Second Engineer or Chief Engineer certification.
- Crowd and Crisis Management training.
- Fully updated STCW certification with PDSD (Proficiency in Designated Security Duties).
- Valid seafarer’s medical certificate with at least 6 months validity.
- Seafarer’s discharge book.
- COVID vaccination and booster (as per client’s request).
Additional Details:
- Start date: April 2, 2025.
- Salary: 350 euros per day, payment in euros, including leave days.
