Requirements
The company requires candidates to have the following certifications: Bosiet/Foet incl. Huet Ca-Ebs, GWO BST, Offshore Medical Examination including shoulder measurement and physical fitness, ERT equipment and breathing apparatus, HDA (incl. offshore medical with BA), Seaman’s book and sea service, Banksman & Slinger (Nogepa / OPITO Stage 2), confined space, dangerous goods by air, designated security duties, working at heights, VCA/MIST/IMIST.
Functions
The typical functions of a Deckhand on a Jack-up vessel, according to the international STCW convention, include assisting in mooring and unmooring operations, general deck maintenance, and support in specific vessel operations. These functions may vary according to the specific needs of the project and the instructions of the Bosun or Chief Mate.
