Second Officer (Deck Officer) – General Cargo Vessel – International Waters

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Second Officer for a General Cargo Vessel operating in international waters. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract position with a competitive monthly salary.

Offer Details

Salary: €4,100 – €4,200 per month
Location: International Waters (General Cargo Vessel)
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract
Vessel Type: General Cargo Vessel (18,383 DWT)
Hiring Company: Marine MAN Ltd
Required Training: Deck Officer qualification with specialisation in Navigation, recognised by the relevant maritime administration.

Requirements

• Nationality: Ukraine, Georgia, or Germany
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for the position
• Previous experience as 2O on general cargo vessels or similar
• Proper documentation to work on international vessels

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Officer and Captain during navigation watches
• Supervise loading and unloading operations according to the stowage plan
• Maintenance of navigation equipment and bridge safety equipment
• Compliance with safety and security procedures (ISPS)
• Management of bridge documentation (logbook, bridge log, etc.)

• Updated CV (PDF, RTF, DOC, ODT formats)
• Certificate of Competency (CoC) and other qualifications
• Seaman’s Book and personal documents
• Medical certificates and training certificates (updated STCW)
