Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Third Deck Officer for a container vessel position. This is a fixed-term maritime contract with a monthly salary of 3600 USD. The vessel is a container ship, and the employing company is CAPITAL SHIPPING – CONSTANTA. The required qualification is a Merchant Marine Officer Certificate or recognised equivalent. Benefits are in accordance with MLC 2006: onboard accommodation and meals, medical assistance, repatriation, and occupational accident insurance.

Requirements

  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for Third Officer
  • Previous experience on container vessels (recommended)
  • Updated STCW documentation
  • Valid medical fitness certificate for seafarers

Responsibilities

  • Assist the First and Second Officers during navigation watches
  • Responsible for navigation and communication equipment
  • Supervision of container loading/unloading operations
  • Maintenance of safety and lifesaving equipment
  • Compliance with ISPS and SMS procedures
