Requirements

- 12 months experience as Third Engineer Officer on DSV DP2 vessels
- Nationality from one of the permitted countries: Azerbaijan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Honduras, India, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Myanmar, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, Indonesia, Ghana, Montenegro, Slovenia, South Africa, Cameroon
Responsibilities
- According to STCW, typical functions of a Third Engineer Officer include: supervision of propulsion and auxiliary systems operation and maintenance, management of the engine room under the direction of the Chief Engineer, maintenance of technical records, and compliance with safety and environmental procedures
- On a DSV DP2 vessel, additional specific responsibilities related to dynamic positioning systems and support equipment for underwater operations are added
