Responsibilities
- According to STCW, typical Third Engineer duties include: supervision of propulsion and auxiliary systems, machinery maintenance, engine room management under the direction of the Chief Engineer, and compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- On PSV DP2 vessels, special attention is required for dynamic positioning systems and offshore equipment.
