Position Overview

SP Management Group is seeking qualified First and Second Officers for a general cargo vessel based in Riga, Latvia. This position offers a rotational maritime contract with competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits.

Offer Details

  • Salary: First Officer: €7,000/month, Second Officer: €3,800/month
  • Location: Riga (Latvia) – EU nationals only
  • Contract: Rotational maritime contract: 2 months on board / 2 months ashore
  • Vessel Type: General cargo vessel

  • Required Training: Merchant Marine Officer (Deck Officer) qualification with specialisation in general cargo

Requirements

  • European Union nationality
  • Valid STCW certificates
  • Previous experience on general cargo vessels
  • Availability to embark in the second half of April

Responsibilities

  • First Officer: Supervision of deck operations, cargo planning, safety responsibilities according to SOLAS
  • Second Officer: Navigation watches, maintenance of deck equipment, assistance to the First Officer
  • Both Positions: Compliance with ISPS procedures, management of nautical documentation, coordination with crew
