Responsibilities
In accordance with STCW, the typical duties of a Motorman include: assisting the Chief Engineer and Engine Officers in the maintenance and operation of the vessel’s machinery, performing lubrication, cleaning, and basic repair tasks in the engine room, and monitoring the operation of auxiliary equipment.
