Position Overview

SIA Gold Orion LTD is seeking a 2nd Engineer for a DP2 construction and support vessel, with a salary of 350-450 USD per day, depending on the interview with the owner.

Technical Details

  • Location: Projects in Saudi Arabia (KSA)
  • Salary: 350-450 USD per day
  • Contract: 8 weeks on board and 8 weeks off
  • Vessel Type: DP2 Construction and Support Vessel
  • Required Documentation: STCW 2010 package, BOSIET/HUET, CA-EBS, UKOAA medical, HV/LV, DP Maintenance Ticket, IMCA Logbook, ARAMCO approval (advantage)
  • Required Training: Competency certificate: 2nd Engineer unlimited or higher
  • Hiring Company: SIA Gold Orion LTD

Requirements

– Minimum of 730 days experience on DSV DP2 vessels in the rank of 2nd Engineer.
– Proficiency in English with a score of at least 85% on the Marlins test.
– Nationality: Any nationality is accepted.

Responsibilities

Typically, according to the international STCW convention, the responsibilities of a 2nd Engineer on a construction and support vessel include supervising and maintaining the vessel’s machinery, ensuring the proper functioning of propulsion and power systems, and coordinating with the Chief Engineer for planning repairs and preventive maintenance.
