Description of the position and key functions: We are looking for a 2nd Deck Officer with DPO qualification for a pipeline laying vessel (PLV). The role involves typical responsibilities of the position, such as supervising operations on the bridge, ensuring the safety of the ship during its transit, and compliance with navigation and safety procedures during the scheduled voyage from Norway to the US starting on September 26th.

Requirements and qualifications: Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements: 2nd Deck Officer Certificate of Competency (2nd Off CoC). US B1OCS or C1D visa. Seafarer Medical Certificate. STCW certifications: EFA, PSSR, PST, FPFF, AFF, Med Care, PSCRB, BRM/HELM. Ship Security Officer Qualification. DP Unlimited Certification. Generic ECDIS course. GMDSS Certification. OPITO training: BOSIET, FOET or HUET. Valid passport. Seaman’s Book. Marlins English Test.

Additional details: The contract duration is two weeks, with a daily salary in GBP under a gross contract, without tax deductions. All required documentation will be provided before the contract commences.
