Requirements
Previous experience on bulk carriers and possession of a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) is required. Knowledge of MAN-B&W engines and experience on vessels built from 2009 onwards will be positively valued.
Responsibilities
The company requires the 3rd Engineer to take on responsibilities for the maintenance and operation of the vessel’s machinery. According to the STCW international convention, the duties of this position on a bulk carrier include supervising the engineering team, managing propulsion systems, and assisting with repairs and preventive maintenance of the main engine and auxiliaries.
