Bosun – MV Ocean Voyager – Worldwide Itinerary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bosun to join the crew of the MV Ocean Voyager, a cargo vessel operating on a worldwide itinerary. This is a permanent contract position with an immediate start date. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading deck operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining the vessel’s deck equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bosun or in a similar deck leadership role on cargo vessels.
  • Valid STCW certification (including basic safety training).
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work in a multicultural crew environment.
  • Strong knowledge of deck maintenance and cargo handling procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise deckhands and coordinate daily deck operations.
  • Ensure all deck equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Assist the Deck Officer with navigation and safety drills.
  • Oversee cargo loading and unloading activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order on the deck areas.

Contract Details

Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: €3,500 per month
Itinerary: Worldwide, with ports including Rotterdam, Singapore, and New York.
