Chief Cook on SCOV DP2 (Offshore Construction Service Vessel) in the North Sea – Salary Negotiable

Position Overview

We are seeking a Chief Cook for an 8-week contract aboard an SCOV DP2 (Offshore Construction Service Vessel with Dynamic Positioning Level 2) operating in the North Sea. The position is managed by Navis Ship Management and requires a Ship’s Cook Licence. Salary is negotiable, and benefits are not specified in the offer.

Requirements

  • UK nationality or valid UK work permit
  • Only EU nationals with a valid UK work permit or Ukrainians under UK protection status will be considered
  • Ship’s Cook Licence
  • HUET with CA-EBS certificate (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System)
  • Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as Chief Cook on similar vessel types

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of all meals onboard
  • Control of kitchen inventory and supplies
  • Supervision of kitchen staff if present
  • Compliance with hygiene and food safety standards

Additional Information: According to the MLC 2006 Convention, the Chief Cook must ensure adequate and varied nutrition for the crew, adapting to dietary and cultural needs.

  • Updated CV with details of sea service
  • Certificate of Competency (COC) and Endorsement, and all valid STCW certificates
  • Copy of passport
  • Copies of all pages of the seaman’s book with detailed evidence of service on each vessel as per the CV
  • References from previous employers
  • Medical certificate
