We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Bulk Carrier operating under the flag of the Marshall Islands on international routes. This is a contract position with a leading international fleet, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on modern vessels.

- Salary: 8900 USD/month
- Location: Vessel flagged in the Marshall Islands, operating on international routes
- Contract: 5-month contract (+/-1 month flexibility)
- Vessel Type: Bulk Carrier

- Required Training: Naval Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, with STCW certification for Chief Engineer on vessels over 3000 KW (according to the STCW Convention, for engines of 8208 KW this specific certification is required).

Requirements
- Ukrainian nationality exclusively
- Age limit: 53 years
- Experience in the position of Chief Engineer: minimum 12 months
- Valid visa for working on international vessels
- Minimum 2 previous contracts as Chief Engineer on vessels with main engines MAN B&W 6S50MC-C
- Maritime experience in the rank of Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer combined: 2 years
- Experience on bulk carriers (as Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer combined): 3 years
Responsibilities
- Supervision and maintenance of the main propulsion system (MAN B&W 6S50MC-C engine, 8208 KW, 11160 BHP)
- Management of the engine department and coordination with the deck crew
- Compliance with safety and environmental regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL) according to STCW
- Planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance
- Control of spare parts and technical consumables inventory
- Preparation of technical reports and documentation for classification inspections and port authorities

- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Copy of valid Chief Engineer certificate compliant with STCW
- Seaman’s book proving the required experience
- Updated medical and STCW training certificates
- Valid passport and visas
