Description of the position and key responsibilities: Saga Agency is looking for a Chief Engineer for a general cargo ship. The selected candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of the main Wartsila engine of 1950kW, as well as all mechanical systems on board. This essential role ensures the safe and effective operation of the ship, built in 2001 and flying the Norwegian flag, in European navigation areas.
Requirements and qualifications:
– EU citizenship.
– Proven experience in maritime engineering, specifically on general cargo ships.
– Familiarity with the Wartsila main engine is an advantage.
Additional details:
– Gross salary: 5500 NOK per day.
– Contract for 3 to 4 weeks.
– Embarkation date: 31st July 2025.
