We are seeking an experienced Chief Officer for a chemical tanker operating in the European Union zone. This position offers a competitive salary with a structured rotation schedule and the opportunity to join an expanding fleet.
Offer Details
- Salary: €10,400-€10,600 per month
- Location: EU Zone (European Union)
- Contract: Maritime contract with 2 months on board / 2 months ashore rotation
- Vessel Type: Chemical Tanker of 6,907 metric tonnes, stainless steel tanks
- Contracting Company: L-Stream Ltd
- Required Training: Merchant Marine Officer qualification with Navigation specialisation, plus specific courses for chemical tankers (according to STCW Chapter V)
- Benefits: 2 months on board / 2 months ashore rotation, mixed international crew, opportunity to join new fleet (5 new vessels planned for end of 2025)
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for Chief Officer on tanker vessels
- Previous experience on chemical or tanker vessels
- Proficiency in English for communication in mixed crew
- Updated STCW documentation (including specific training for tanker vessels)
Responsibilities
- Supervision of chemical tank loading, unloading and cleaning operations
- Responsible for vessel safety and compliance with MARPOL/SOLAS regulations
- Management of deck crew and coordination with the Captain
- Maintenance of deck equipment and loading systems
- Preparation of operational and safety documentation
Required Documentation
- Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- STCW documentation (including courses for tanker vessels)
- Valid passport and visas
- Medical certificates (including fitness examination for work on tankers)
- Advanced firefighting training course (STCW A-VI/3)
