Requirements
The candidate must hold a Merchant Marine Captain’s Licence and a Full DP Certificate. Solid experience in SAT diving operations is required, with a minimum of 24 months in a similar position aboard similar type vessels. Candidates approved by ARAMCO are preferable. A minimum score of 80% in all sections of the Marlins Test is required.
Responsibilities
According to the international STCW convention, the responsibilities of a Chief Officer/SDPO on a Dive Support Vessel DP2 typically include supervising deck operations, managing onboard safety, and assisting in the planning and execution of diving operations.
