Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Deckhand (Able Seaman) to join the crew of a General Cargo Vessel (4300 DWT). This position offers a monthly salary of €1900 and is managed by Meridian Marine. The vessel operates on global rotations, and the contract is typically a fixed-term maritime agreement. Required training includes STCW certification for Deckhand.

Requirements

  • Valid Deckhand (Able Seaman) Certificate
  • Up-to-date STCW documentation
  • Current medical fitness certificate for seafarers
  • Previous experience on general cargo vessels (recommended)

Responsibilities

  • Navigation watchkeeping and surveillance
  • Deck maintenance and preservation
  • Loading and unloading operations
  • Line and rigging handling
  • Painting and general upkeep tasks
  • Support in onboard safety operations
