Deckhand (OS) – Bulk Carrier – China/International

Position Overview

We are seeking a Deckhand (Ordinary Seaman) for a Bulk Carrier vessel operating in the China/International region. The position requires joining the vessel in China on 10th March, followed by international voyages.

Contract Details

  • Contract Duration: 6 months +/- 1 month
  • Vessel Type: Bulk Carrier
  • Hiring Company: Ukraina Maritime Agency
  • Required Training: Basic STCW training is mandatory. Previous experience as an OS or specific training for bulk carriers is recommended.
  • Benefits: Not specified in the offer. According to the MLC 2006 Convention, they should include guaranteed accommodation, meals, medical care, and repatriation.

Requirements

  • Ukrainian nationality exclusively
  • Immediate availability (ASAP)
  • Proper documentation to work on vessels under the flag of the Marshall Islands

Responsibilities

  • General deckhand duties under the supervision of the Bosun and officers
  • According to STCW, typical functions include: navigation watches, deck maintenance, loading/unloading operations, cleaning and painting tasks, and participation in safety drills
