Full description

A Second Engineer is required to join an expedition vessel with joining scheduled in January. The contract will run for 3 months, plus or minus 1 month, and the salary offered is between 8,000 and 8,500 USD per month. Good English and previous experience in rank are required. Under STCW (Section A-III/2), the Second Engineer carries out engine room watchkeeping duties and assists the Chief Engineer in the supervision and maintenance of the vessel's propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems. On expedition vessels, these responsibilities may also include supporting the technical systems used in scientific and exploration operations on board.
