A Second Engineer is required to join the general cargo ship TRANSOSPREY, built in 2003, with a deadweight of 20,396 tonnes and a MAN BW main engine. The offered salary is 7,800 USD per month. The employing company is Polaris Marine Management.
The owner requires Ukrainian nationality only for this position. A good command of English is mandatory, and an interview and tests will be conducted in English as part of the selection process.
Under the STCW Convention, the Second Engineer is responsible for engine room watches, maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and assisting the Chief Engineer in the technical management of the vessel. Previous experience on general cargo ships and valid maritime documentation are desirable.
