A Deck Hand is required to join an offshore support vessel in the UK immediately. The candidate must hold valid OPITO ITSO and OPITO FRC Boatman certificates, along with a minimum of 6 months logged sea time. STCW Basic Safety, STCW DSD, and STCW Survival Craft & Rescue Boats are essential, as well as a Seafarers Medical, Seaman's Book, and valid passport.
Due to the urgency of the position, the candidate must be in the UK or an EU country and ready to travel as soon as possible. The contract will be for a fixed term, as is customary for this type of offshore mobilisation.
Under the STCW Convention, to perform duties as a boatman on fast rescue craft (FRC), specific training in rescue and sea survival manoeuvres is required, which is evidenced by the OPITO certificates demanded. Furthermore, the candidate must comply with maritime safety requirements and be familiar with onboard emergency procedures.
