A Motorman is required to join a Multi-Purpose Support Vessel (MPSV) offshore. The joining date is the beginning of November, with a contract duration of 6 weeks (+/- 1 week). The salary offered is 185 USD per day. Experience in the rank on offshore vessels, good English, valid STCW documents and a valid medical certificate are required.
Under the STCW Convention, the Motorman is part of the engine department and performs watches under the supervision of the engineering officers. Typical duties include the maintenance and cleaning of the engine room, assisting in the maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and monitoring equipment. On a multi-purpose support vessel, the Motorman may also assist in the specific operations of the vessel, such as platform supply or support for subsea work.
