Amergo Group is seeking a Chief Officer to join a general cargo ship. The offered salary is 3,900 euros per month and the contract will last for 3 months, with a flexibility of plus or minus 1 month. Embarkation is scheduled between 27 and 30 October 2026. The trading area covers the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. A good professional level of English and a maximum age of 60 are required. Under the STCW Convention, the Chief Officer is responsible for the navigational watch and the safety of the ship, as well as the supervision of the deck and cargo. On a general cargo ship, their duties include planning and supervising cargo loading and unloading operations, managing the maintenance of deck equipment and coordinating the officers and ratings under their command. They must also ensure compliance with the maritime safety and environmental protection regulations set out in SOLAS and MARPOL.
