Electrical Engineer for 38800 DWT Bulker – Univis
Description of the position and key functions: A position for an Electrical Engineer is sought on board a Bulker type vessel with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 38800. The role involves the supervision and maintenance of the Wartsila 6RT-flex48T engine, ensuring the proper functioning of the ship’s electrical systems. Responsibilities include managing repairs, preventive maintenance, and responding to electrical failures during the ship’s operation.
Requirements and qualifications: Demonstrable previous experience in a similar position is required, preferably on Bulker type vessels. Adequate training in electrical engineering and technical skills related to the operation and maintenance of Wartsila engines are essential. Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
