Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) with Dynamic Positioning (DP) certification for AHTS/Supply vessels operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This position offers a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to join a growing offshore team.
Contract Details
- Salary: $250 per day
- Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- Contract Type: Rotational contract: 3 months on board / 1 month off (unpaid)
- Vessel Type: AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) / Offshore Supply Vessel with DP2
- Hiring Company: MARPO
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as ETO on DP2 offshore supply vessels
- Minimum 2000 hours recorded in IMCA DP Logbook
- Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC)
- DP Maintenance Certificate
- High Voltage Certificate
- Technical training in electro-technology or marine electronics with specific certifications (COC, DP, High Voltage)
Responsibilities
According to STCW, typical ETO functions include:
- Maintenance and repair of vessel electrical, electronic and control systems
- Supervision of automation equipment
- Support in DP (Dynamic Positioning) operations to ensure safety and operational efficiency on offshore vessels
