Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) with Dynamic Positioning (DP) certification for AHTS/Supply vessels operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This position offers a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to join a growing offshore team.

Contract Details

  • Salary: $250 per day
  • Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Contract Type: Rotational contract: 3 months on board / 1 month off (unpaid)
  • Vessel Type: AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) / Offshore Supply Vessel with DP2
  • Hiring Company: MARPO

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as ETO on DP2 offshore supply vessels
  • Minimum 2000 hours recorded in IMCA DP Logbook
  • Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC)
  • DP Maintenance Certificate
  • High Voltage Certificate
  • Technical training in electro-technology or marine electronics with specific certifications (COC, DP, High Voltage)

Responsibilities

According to STCW, typical ETO functions include:

  • Maintenance and repair of vessel electrical, electronic and control systems
  • Supervision of automation equipment
  • Support in DP (Dynamic Positioning) operations to ensure safety and operational efficiency on offshore vessels
