Responsibilities
The company requires the assistant deckhand to aid in the mooring, unmooring, and safe berthing of the vessel, support crew transfers and deck operations ensuring safety at all times, maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the deck and equipment, conduct regular safety checks and report defects or hazards, handle loading and unloading of equipment as instructed, participate in emergency drills and follow onboard safety procedures, and provide general support to the Captain and crew as needed.
