First Officer/DPO Position with PSV Experience at Atlas NextWave in UK Inland Waters

Atlas NextWave is looking for a First Officer/DPO with experience on Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) to join the crew of our client in the UK inland waters. This opportunity offers a rotating schedule of 4 weeks on board and 4 weeks off, starting on November 24, 2025.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

The First Officer/DPO will assist the captain in the daily management of the vessel, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing loading and unloading operations, as well as safely maneuvering the vessel using dynamic positioning systems.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • STCW/ENG-1 Seafarer Medical Certificate
  • STCW Basic Safety Training
  • STCW Advanced Fire Fighting Training
  • Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (other than Fast Rescue Boats)
  • Previous experience on a Platform Supply Vessel (PSV)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Valid Passport
  • Unlimited II/2 Competency Certificate
  • GMDSS Certificate
  • Ship Security Officer (SSO) Certificate
  • Unlimited Dynamic Positioning (DP) License
  • DP Logbook (all pages)

Additional Details: Due to the vessel’s location, it is essential for candidates to have the right to work in the UK. This position follows a 4 weeks on board and 4 weeks off rotation, providing a balance between work and personal life.
