Description of the position and key functions: We are looking for a Third Engineer Officer (3/E) for a container ship. Responsibilities include maintenance and operation of onboard machinery, especially MAN B&W 10K98ME-C engines. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure the efficient operation of the main and auxiliary engine, as well as supervision of the ship’s mechanical and electrical systems.
Requirements and qualifications: Previous experience on similar vessels, ideally container ships. Advanced knowledge of marine machinery, particularly MAN B&W engines. Competency certificates and training in accordance with current STCW regulations.
