Requirements
- Experience in rank on LNG vessels
- Certificate of Competency (COC) for LNG
- Advanced training in gas tanker vessels
- Updated STCW certifications
- Very good level of English

Functions
- Third Deck Officer: According to STCW, typical functions include navigation watches, maintenance of deck equipment, supervision of loading/unloading operations on LNG vessels, and assistance to the Officer on Watch.
- Chief Engineer: According to STCW, responsible for the entire engine department, maintenance of propulsion and LNG cargo systems, management of the engine team, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Second Engineer: According to STCW, assistant to the Chief Engineer, daily supervision of engine operations, maintenance of critical systems, and management of watchkeeping shifts.
- Fourth Engineer: According to STCW, typical functions include basic engine maintenance, assistance in loading/unloading operations, and supervision of auxiliary systems on LNG vessels.
- ETO (Electro-Technical Officer): According to STCW, responsible for electrical and electronic systems, maintenance of automation equipment, and technical support on LNG vessels.
